It is warming up in Seattle now that it’s spring, and summer is just around the corner. As May is upon us, spring into action with some fun date ideas with these popular events around Seattle:

Thursday, May 4th- Sunday May 14th: Seattle Beer Week

Check out the Northwest beers during Seattle Beer Week, there are so many to choose from that the event couldn’t last only a week. Beer week features 10 days of extraordinary beer tastings, beer dinners and much more! Locations vary, so check for locations closest to you and enjoy an extra couple of days of exploring new beers with your date.

Saturday, May 6th: iFest at Seattle Center Armory

Try something new and different by playing brand new games with your date, before anyone else knows about them! Check out unique and imaginative new games including board, video, and card games at iFest. The event celebrates indie game developers, you can try games out and cast your vote for the best ones.

Sunday, May 7th: Taco Libre Truck Showdown at Fremont Sunday Market

Pick out the city’s best taco truck on this Sunday Funday, with that special date of yours! The Taco Libre Truck Showdown is back again, and will be featured at the Sunday Market. There will be dozens of taco trucks, a beer garden, mariachi bands, and the chance to sample Seattle’s best Mexican street food trucks!

Sunday, May 7th: Seattle Bike-n-Brews

Ride your bike alongside your date, and drink some beers at the Georgetown Brewing Company. Seattle Bike-n-Brews is one of the “most Seattle events ever,” a 30 mile bike ride that starts and ends at Georgetown Brewing and hits several breweries and pubs along the way.

Sunday, May 14th: Color Run at Seattle Center

Grab your date and get colorful! You’ll start out this unique 5k wearing a plain white t-shirt, but by the end you’ll be adorned in every color. This is fun and games, while getting in a work out

Thursday- Sunday, May 18th-June 11th: Seattle International Film Festival

The biggest Film Festival in the Northwest is back, at various locations, for a month-long celebration of movies. The SIFF features dozens of screenings, plus premiers and other events attended by directors, actors, critics, and you and your date!
