Seattle Summer Music Events: Part 2!
Last month we covered all the fabulous summer music events that you can’t miss: The Gorge, Chateau Ste. Michelle Wineries, Marymoor Park, Woodland Park, and West Seattle Summerfest! Here are some more ideas to help wrap up the summer the best way possible.
July 22nd - 24th: Capitol Hill Block Party
Capitol Hill Block Party is a 3-day festival, celebrating Seattle’s iconic arts and music center. The Block Party takes over six city blocks in the heart of the Capital Hill neighborhood, and showcases over 100 local and national artists. Don’t miss Seattle’s biggest party as it takes over Seattle’s coolest neighborhood with shows featuring local Odesza, Crystal Castles, Churches, Nao, Sango, and many more!
July 29th - August 7th: Watershed Festival
This is the biggest country music show of the whole year at the Gorge. Some of the top artists include: Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban and Brett Eldredge. The festival takes place over two weekends: July 29-31 & August 5-7. There are several different camping options to choose from, so everyone will be accommodated. This festival is definitely worth the drive for a weekend full of fun and will make you want to go back every year!
August 4th - 8th: Doe Bay Fest
Doe Bay Resort is excited to present its 9th Annual Festival on Orcas Island, which is just a ferry-ride away in the San Juan Islands! Heading to the San Juans when the sun is shining is always amazing, but to add to the adventure is four days of music, food and drink, camping and outdoor activities on 33 waterfront acres. Many people appreciate the unique setting and atmosphere of this festival, including a Yoga Studio, Open Mic, and “secret show.”
August 31st - September 5th: Pig Out in the Park
Head over to Spokane’s Riverfront Park, and enjoy six days of food and music, all on the river in Downtown Spokane. This is the 37th annual festival, which takes place over Labor Day Weekend and features 47 booths, 225 menu items with nothing over an affordable $9.95, 3 adult beverage gardens, and $3 bites (special hours). Enjoy over 100 free concerts on three stages, including national, regional and local artists, such as Sir Mix-A-Lot and Heart by Heart.
September 4th - 25th: Washington State Fair Concert Series
Puyallup will host the annual Washington State Fair at The Grandstand, and will feature 21 nights of entertainment performed by a star-studded lineup. There is no better place to enjoy the sights and sounds of a show than at the fair under the Northwest skies! The party kicks off Labor Day weekend and includes Kid Rock, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, and Dierks Bentley.
